An Opinion On “Why Chinese Mothers Are Superior”
If Chinese parenting quotes, tips, and advice creates a better societal outcome, then one way to judge it on a broad scale is to look at Chinese society and see what the results are. While there are many successful children, the author fails to mention that the vast majority of the 1 billion plus Chinese citizens live in extreme poverty and depredation without much hope of advancing. Perhaps what Chinese parenting causes is too many children afraid to question authority which leads to the dictatorship they have in their country. This totalitarian regime forces mass infanticide and disregards the innate value of individuals. If that’s Chinese parenting, I’ll be buying my son a Big Mac to eat while he watches the DVD player on our way to soccer practice.
America has it’s own problems raising the next generation and lack of discipline is one of them. Still, Chinese parenting doesn’t appear to be a way to preserve our culture and liberty.
