My First Chicken Coop

I had my first backyard chicken coop when I was only ten. And I’d say that was one of the most fun experiences I had in life. Starting out with only two chicks in a small box-type coop, my brood of chickens grew to almost 30 in a row of coops that was like a chicken apartment house. I had such fun and learned a lot while tending my chickens. I learned not only to take care of chickens, but even how to repair the coops, and what conditions suited the chickens best, from small chicks to adult nesting hens. I didn’t grow up to be a poultry farm owner, but my backyard chicken coop and the teachings it brought have remained with me always.
