The Importance of Heart Disease Research
There are many ways that the funding of heart disease research into better treatment and prevention of heart disease is important. These include better heart surgery techniques, better understanding of the genetics of heart disease, understanding how to reduce cholesterol levels, making better pacemaker, developing new artificial heart, understanding congenital heart disease in children, development of new improved test kits to identify heart diseases. There is so much more that could be done to bring down the occurrence of death by heart disease. This re-enforces the need to take action now and to ensure this worthwhile cause receives adequate funding.
