Care experts ensuring all of your needs are met
An interesting article I found in August 2008’s copy of OTC was about a seminar provided by Elizabeth Waterman from Jacqueline Webb and Company’s, about an introduction to different ways of working outside of the Statutory sector. For those of us practicing in the medico-legal field, Ms Waterman provided some very helpful information on improving report writing techniques which are fundamental to this specialist field. Jacqueline Webb and Company basically provides a facility to solicitors and insurers and uses the evaluation skills of its therapists to consider people who have been injured through no fault of their own and are claiming compensation. The holistic assessment encompasses past and future care needs, transport, equipment and housing needs.
The thing I thought was interesting about the seminar was that it viewed the course of action from the first assessment of the injured party through to appearing as an Care Expert witness at court.
The people that were at the seminar were asked to look at their report writing skills and look into opportunities to refine and practice them to build up a professional written style making the intensely detailed reports not only exactly correct but interesting to read as well. Essential areas of report writing were brought up such as logical presentation, use of language, structuring of the report and a professional approach.
If you are interested in downloading the A-Z of report writing that was designed expressly for the seminar you can get it from Jacqueline Webb and Co’s website along with other interesting facts about the consultancy role
