A Doctor’s Assistant’s Challenges
Working as a doctor’s assistant can be very challenging. I do not only answer phone calls and make appointments with patients, I also have to learn some medical terms to be able to answer the basic questions that patients call in to ask. On my first day in the job, I came across the term Azithromycin API. I had no clue what it was. I just realized that it is a type of macrolide antibiotic. It is used to treat many types of infections in people. But it is not for everyone, so doctors are also careful to prescribe it.
