Pay it Forward: Teach New Users How to Surf Safe
I think it’s great that computers have become so simple to use that almost anyone can become fairly efficient in a short time. I also think it is important for new users to be told about the dangers of going online without adequate virus protection. Most systems come with a trial version of an anti-virus program but nobody seems to press the importance of either purchasing a subscription to stay updated or installing a program like this that offers good protection at no cost to the user. New users don’t always think about security. If you know somebody who doesn’t know just how dangerous it can be out there, pay it forward and clue them in.
